For some, high school life was memorable than college life but then again there are those who cherish their college memories more.
This maybe the case for most of our batch mates since it seems that we always make a way to meet up and reunite.
The events attendeesmaybe small compared to the total number who graduated on April 23, 1994, but still it is heartwarming to know that we are always excited to see each other. The feeling of pride to hear the success stories of each and every one makes us want to stay together longer. The last 25 years has been good to most of our batch mates not only professionally but also in their family life. We can say that the last reunion as the most successful in a sense that more people were involved in the planning. More of us willingly shared their blessings and made the event more meaningful.
A batch mate bumping into another suggesting a reunion started this series of events. Out batch has successfully organized 3 reunions for the last nine years. Sweet 16 on October 16, 2010, Revisiting PSBA QC after 20 year on May 3, 2014 and just recently, PSBA Batch 94 Reunited at 25th on September 28, 2019. It seems that the six hours of reminiscing about our college days is too short, so much so that a few of the attendees regrouped and stayed up until 4am at a nearby establishment to continue the “kuwentuhan atlaglagan”.
I believe that one of the factors which made these reunion possible was because we kept in touch and of course we have Favcebook to thank for that. Because of social media, we were able to reconnect with old friends and set meetups with our circle of friends.
As early as now, we have formed committees in preparation for our 30th year in 2024. We hope to entice more participants and encourage more from other courses to join. It’s still a long way but hey, it would be yet another batch achievement that will forever be in our hearts.
