The PSBA Alumni Association held a successful grand alumni homecoming last November 16, 2019. The homecoming was hosted by PSBA Batch ’69 who celebrated their golden (50th) anniversary this year. Batch ’69 who attended the momentous occasion were Alberto Lina (a major sponsor for the event), Jesli Lapus, Jose Leynes and Jonathan Lu. The family of Andres Cornejo was present as his representative as he was outside the country.
The batch ’69 present delivered their respective inspirational messages during the event. Batch ’94 also celebrated their silver (25th) jubilee represented by Michael Garcia of PSBA QC. who presented a photo presentation of an earlier celebration of PSBA QC batch ‘94.
President Jose F. Peralta delivered his message to the alumni and ended his message with the rendition of the song “A Wonderful World”. Alberto Lina also rendered a song, “Coming Home” from Les Miserables, which was apt for the occasion. This set the stage for community singing and dancing, which was capped by a raffle. The event was attended by alumni from all batches, PSBA Manila and QC graduates alike, including our millennial graduates and a balikbayan alumna, Elma Gallego Mustonen, from Finland. David Marcy Band provided the music during the night.
With the successful holding of this year’s grand alumni homecoming and the positive feedback from the alumni and guests present, everybody is now looking forward to the homecoming next year. The success of the event was made possible with the hard work of the Alumni Association, led by its President, Farley Areola, the homecoming committed headed by Renato Kiang and its members, Ernest Tan, Imelda De Guzman and Elizabeth Apuan and the contribution of PSBA QC represented by Michael Garcia (PSBA QC batch ’94) and unceasing support of its alumni particularly, Alberto Lina (batch ’69) as a major event sponsor, Jonathan Lu (batch ’69), Andres M.
